Chrisandawn Lady in Red at Quintrelle or RoobyShoos as we call her is nine years old.
ShooShoos as we also call her came to us in 2003 after my dearest friend Christine Greenaway of Chrisandawn Cavaliers died suddenly in the prime of her life. As I had delivered RubyShoos into the world and given her her nick name of RubyShoos, Chistines husband thought I would like to have her. How right he was.
This dear girl is no bother to anybody and mooches about quite happily.... Until 5 PM comes and if she hasn’t had her supper yet, heaven help us all as she barks incessantly to be fed!
Last year poor old ShooShoos had to undergo major surgery for a terrible tumour which thankfully has not come back. No sooner was she over this than she developed a very bad leg problem. Despite x rays and hospitalisation we never did get to the root of it other than that she may have dislocated her hip and that it had gone back in to place when we manipulated her.
Although retired now, RubyShoos was shown by both Christine and myself when she was younger and although not a huge winner she always managed to get placed. The fact that she plods probably didn’t help!
On Christmas day 2004 Shooshoos delivered us a lovely litter of pups, our first whole colours. Of course we had to keep one which was Mary Scarlett , Steves treasure, pride an joy. If you follow the links to Scareltts page you will see that not only is she Daddys baby, she now has babies of her very own!
